IEEE Education Week is a weeklong celebration of educational opportunities provided by IEEE and its many organizational units, societies and councils from around the world. IEEE offers pre-university STEM, university, and continuing professional education resources for engineers and technical professionals.

The curated list of IEEE Foundation Funds included below all support education focused programs featured during Education Week that are made possible by philanthropic contributions. Please consider making a donation to increase the reach and impact of these all important programs. 

  • IEEE Foundation Fund - Supports a broad range of programs that Illuminate, Educate, Engage, and Energize the lives of individuals and communities around the world..
  • IEEE REACH - The program provides provides pre-university teachers with free, open educational resources that situate science, technology, and engineering in their social and humanistic contexts through the conduit of history.
  • IEEE Educational Activities Scholarship Fund - Supports needs-based scholarships to students to attend or participate in educational activities that inspire them to learn more about engineering and technology. Currently, supports the Try Engineering Summer Institute (TESI).
  • EPICS in IEEE Fund - Supports engineering service learning projects from around the globe in four core categories of community improvement; Access and Abilities, Environment, Human Services and Education/Outreach. 
  • IEEE Region 4 Science Kits for Public Libraries Fund - Supports the awarding of grants to Public Libraries within IEEE's Region 4 enabling the creation of science kit collections that can be borrowed just like a book.
  • IEEE PES Scholarship Fund- Supports the PES Scholarship Plus Initiative which provides scholarships and real world experience to undergraduates who are interested in power and energy engineering careers.
  • Life Members Fund - The IEEE Life Member History Fellowship supports one year of full-time graduate work or one year of post-doctoral research for a scholar in this field who has received his or her Ph.D. within the past four years in the history of IEEE's designated fields. 
  • IEEE TryEngineering Fund - Supports the IEEE STEM Grant Program. The STEM Portal Grant Program is designed to spur STEM outreach and innovation by providing funding to IEEE volunteers to develop new STEM programs or enhance (or maintain) existing programs. The programs engaged with students, teachers, parents, and volunteers all over the world, providing opportunities for STEM exposure, learning, and training.
  • IEEE-USA Student Public Policy Fund - Supports student public policy activities of IEEE-USA’s Government Relations program, including, but not limited to participation in the Washington Internships for Students of Engineering (WISE) program.
  • IEEE Women in Engineering Fund - Disburse monies for activities selected by WIE to support. Support may be in the form of grants to external organizations or for WIE run initiatives.
  • IEEE-Eta Kappa Nu Fund - Supports projects of the IEEE HKN - HKN BoG authorizes annual payout in the Nov/Dec timeframe based on forecast and fundraising success.
  • IEEE Computer Society Diversity and Inclusion Fund - Supports the humanitarian and educational initiatives of the IEEE Computer Society that are specifically aimed at promoting greater diversity within Society programs and activities; as well as industry-focused and academic communities supported by the Computer Society.
  • The Signal Processing Student and Young Professional Fund - Supports activities that encourage students and young professionals to participate in Signal Processing activities.
