IEEE's MOVE (Mobile Outreach Volunteer Engagement) Disaster Relief and Outreach, is an emergency response program committed to assisting first-responders of natural disasters with short-term communications, computer, and power solutions. Working in concert with in-country IEEE volunteers and disaster-area deployment partners, the IEEE MOVE program is committed to assisting victims of natural disasters. These temporary emergency relief provisions provide critical services to help disaster-responders stay connected and make sure they can access the help they need.
When not deployed for emergency relief, the MOVE assets are employed by volunteers to conduct community outreach and facilitate learning opportunities for students and the public in the areas of Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math (STEM).
