The IEEE History Center preserves the heritage of IEEE's technologies
The Center serves the electrical, electrochemical, electrophysical, and computing professions by preserving, promoting, and publicizing their history.
Some of the ways we serve the profession:
- Engineering & Technology History Wiki (ETHW)—The ETHW ethw.org contains thousands of topic articles, first-hand accounts, oral histories, Milestones and Landmarks, and archival documents.
- IEEE Global Museum—The Global Museum program promotes an understanding of electrotechnology and its impact upon society by bringing museum-quality traveling exhibits directly to IEEE members and the public.
- Milestones Program—The IEEE Milestones Program honors significant achievements ieeemilestones.ethw.org/guidelines
- Oral History Collection—One of the foremost collections in the history of technology, it preserves more than 900 interviews with significant innovators. http://ethw.org/oh
- IEEE REACH-- Provides free on-line curricular materials to teachers that explore the social relevance of technology and engineering, and spark student interest in STEM. reach.ieee.org
