The IEEE PES Scholarship Plus Initiative recognizes high-performing undergraduate students with an interest in the power & energy industry with scholarships and connections to real-world career experiences.

Together, we can ensure that these highly-talented students are part of our new energy future as they will develop new technologies, expand smart grid and impact the way we generate, transmit and utilize power.

Effective 2025 - The IEEE PES Scholarship Plus Initiative is proud to announce that a wider range of undergraduate students will now be eligible to apply to become PES Scholars.

The expanded list of eligible disciplines includes-

Electrical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Computer Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Power Engineering, Computer Science, Data Analytics, Environmental Engineering, Renewable Energy and Sustainable Studies.

The educational funding given to each PES Scholar has also increased, from up to $7,000 USD over three years to up to $10,000 USD.

These changes will become active when the 2025 Scholarship Plus Application opens 20 January, 2025.
