IEEE-USA MOVE: Bringing emergency relief and education where it’s needed.

The IEEE-USA MOVE program uses customized heavy-duty trucks to provide power and mobile communications support after disasters such as hurricanes, tornadoes, floods, and fires. When not deployed for disaster relief efforts, the IEEE MOVE vehicles are taken to schools, fairs, and other venues to educate the public—showcasing leading technologies and raising awareness about the positive impact these technologies have on society. Currently there are two MOVE trucks, one in Region 3, and one in Region 6.
